Extended Hour Meeting - Update

On August 11, members of the CFA Executive Board had a conference call with Gary Heavin and members of the Curves Executive team regarding Extended Hours in the clubs (defined as early morning, afternoons, and early evening).

Gary was very open-minded through the entire meeting and was receptive to ideas prepared by the CFA. It was agreed to continue to explore the regulatory and business issues related to the concept of Extended Hours, as well as to survey the franchise community on the question.

Letter from the CFA President

Rumors, Innuendo and Fact

The internet is a wonderful tool. It allows organizations such as ours to exist, connecting people from all over the world to one another. It allows for the rapid exchange of ideas and information, and helps us better serve you, our members, by giving us an open and direct conduit into your lives, thereby defeating the enemies of an organization such as ours – lack of urgency. However, the flip side of those wonderful advantages is the fact that rumor and innuendo can spread like wildfire. Far too often, what is started as a question or a thought turns into “fact” as people pass it from one another across the web.

Post-Convention Message from your President

Dear CFA Members,

For those of you who could not make it to Nashville this year, I would like to discuss your Franchisee Association and its future as I did with Convention attendees.

In order to do that effectively, we first need to take a look at where we started, where we are today and where we are going next year and beyond. Before I do that, I would like to take a few moments and share with you my journey.
